Empyrean
The Empyrean set is inspired by Tom Bukovac’s 58’ Burst (from the Home Skoolin’ channel on Youtube). This set has been designed and tested over several months using a good set of ears and refining it to perfection! These PAF’s are the sound of a lot of classic records and cover a lot of territory. Punchy, loud & clear with just the right amount of snarl and growl. Medium output for both, with DC in the low to mid 8k range in matching Long Alnico 5. (If you love the tone of ‘Oscar’ the 58’ Gold Top from The Doug & Pat Show, this is also the perfect set for you)

A2: Saturated sounding tone. Bite. Harmonic content & pick dynamics, pronounced mid range crunch, creamy highs and loose-ish percussive lows
A3: Smoother output. Syrupy notes & bends, sweetness to the highs, thick midrange & broad full lows. Tonally similar to A5 with the crunch of A2. With the lowest gauss of all magnets, can take on a single coil like quality when rolling off volume
A4: Balanced frequency response. Overall brighter than other magnets. Even midrange growl, sparkly highs & tight lows. Chirpy tones when rolling off volume. Drier tone than A2
A5: Authority & punch. Full bottom end, crisp crunch in the mid range, glassy highs and syrupy note bends. Hollow woody quality when rolling off tone
