Handcrafted custom guitar pickups & faithful recreations of vintage PAF's. Each coil is wound one at a time with dedication, passion and the finest materials. When it comes to amazing guitar tone... the devil is in the details

Tone Devil Legacy PAF’s

The Tone Devil Legacy PAFs are inspired by the defining coil shapes and winds from the Gibson Golden Era of the late 50’s. Each set has been developed from testing, listening and crafting a PAF that captures the sonic mysticality and feel of the originals.

Spellbound

The Spellbound sets are based off early PAFs - a perfect marriage of low wind and unique coil shape. Shimmery, open and organic. Looser bottom end and softer pick attack, in turn creating luscious harmonic content and note bloom.

The 58’ has a similar wind in the bridge that accommodates more wire, increasing output without compromising the Spellbound tonal palette. A4/A5 is standard but also available in A2, A3, A4 or A5 in any configuration. (The A3 option comes with a matching coil shape in 8.0k for the neck)

For players that like more focus and definition in the neck - both Spellbound sets are with the Empyrean ‘Gold’ option neck pickup upon request. Refer to the Empyrean set for details

Empyrean

The Empyrean PAF’s have differing unique coil designs to the neck and bridge. The bridge wind retains some give in the pick attack while incorporating definition, tighter lows and increased treble response. The neck pickup is available in two options ‘Gold’ or ‘Burst’. The Gold option, when compared to the Spellbound, has more focus and clarity - a great choice for players that require more definition over a more loose and open sound. The Burst option has the Spellbound coil shape - great for players who like a more open sound with a softer attack. There is very little difference in perceived output with both of these options

A4 is standard and the most versatile choice with its even EQ - sparkly glassy cleans, firm bottom end and a crisp growl in the mid range. The Empyreans have the perfect amount of compression without feeling stiff or overly loose in the pick attack and with the tone rolled off the bridge has a wonderful chirpy quality

For players that like a little more oomph in the back the bridge pickup is also available in 8.4k. Choose the Empyrean + bridge

All magnet choices sound fantastic with A2, A4 or A5 being available in any configuration
